We all have something that we struggle with. Perhaps it’s modesty, or selfishness, or vanity. For me…it’s diligence. Especially now that I’ve started college, I find balancing my homework with everything else difficult. With homework this week (and I’ll use the excuse of midterms and quizzes as well) this blog hasn’t been my top priority. Even now I should probably be doing homework. However, since it is fall break I don’t have class until Monday.
Being diligent, though, has always been a struggle for me. I think however, it all goes back to self-control, which is a very important thing to have in your arsenal especially as a student or a teen or young person or as a girl. By that I mean being able to say no to distractions, to laziness, being able to sit down and focus on what needs to be done. We are tempted every day. Grace and self-control can make all the difference. Self-control can be summarized in just a few words: do what you need to do.
On that note, I leave you to work on my paper. 🙂
